Oops.

Slept through it. LOL! Oh well--this is what YouTube is for. Heard some of the speech second-hand, though, and it sounded beautiful. Wooters!

And for something decidedly non-politics... sort of... Sueworld really sums up my opinion of the BTVS comics rather well. I am not wasting my money on these. Not even my time to steal them online. That's how horrible they are. That's Joss for you--once the rising voice of feminism, now the voice of fanboys everywhere. Let's watch women fuck screw each other for the sake of showing boobies. Argh!

Stupid fanboys.

/arghity.

Fic note: I've been working on A Dead Sinner pretty heavily the last few days, and I was wondering if anyone still wants an update. I'll post the fic when it's done, but I know [info]kitsune_wolf was reading it in it's progression... ^^

I agree with that post about same sex couples. Problem with Buffy is that the only couple that woul work (IMO) in Spike and Angel and they're meant to be in love with Buffy. (Woo threesome!) I can't see Xander as gay, Giles could work except the poor boyfriend would be a dead-character-walking and, Andrew is never taken seriously anyway.

Maybe they could make Robin bi?

& I'd love to read a little more of A Dead Sinner.♥
LOL BUFFY STAKE EDWARD OMG FTW!!!

Ahem. ^^;

Yeah, Spangel is about the only male gay couple that could work in the show easily (with effort, I'm sure Xander could be gay, because I've read some great fics were he was... it'd just take work, because Xander, in my mind, is much the ladies man). The problem is, the only thing we ever get is subtext and I fear that with the example we're seeing in Xander/Dracula and Andrew, it's probably better off if that's all we get. I just don't think Joss can handle a male gay couple, and I'd much rather he ignored Spangel than turned it into a freakin' joke. Lesbians are fine; Willow/Tara was beautiful, and while I did have some issues with Willow/Kennedy and Buffy/Satsu, they were both pretty interesting. At least it was serious! But Andrew? I love the little guy as much as the next, but he's still a horrible, not to mention insulting stereotype at times. *flail*

Anyway, yay for a bi Robin!! Robin hasn't been in the s8 comics so far, right? I think Faith said something along the lines of him "not surprising" her, which is sad, because I rather liked the Faith/Robin thing. Oh well! I vote Robin goes to LA and gets his hate sex on with Spike. Bwahahahahahhahahahahaaa!

There will always be fic, at least. Bless the invention of fanfic. :)

I'd love to read a little more of A Dead Sinner.♥

YAY! I'll work on some more and then post w/ a summary to catch up. ^^
I thought you might like it, the person who made it said anyone can use it if you want it.

Robin had a panel or two in the faith story, he's training slayers (Young ones, they were dog piling a vamp in the background while he was on the phone to Faith) and yeah they had broken up. ;_;

I wish they would show more of Kennedy in S8, save from a flashback with Willow it's like she's dropped off the face of the earth. The girl needs development damn it or she'll never be anything more than 'The girl after Tara.'

Aren't the comics being co-written now? maybe one of the co-writers can write decent male slash? *hopes*
Sorry this took so long! ^^ *bad*

It's too bad about Robin, but at least he's getting his vamp-kicking on! There should be a Robin/Gunn crossover someday--I've always wondered who kicked the bigger ass. I mean, the son of a Slayer vs super lawyer vamp killer? Heeeeeeee.

The girl needs development damn it or she'll never be anything more than 'The girl after Tara.'

Awwwwwwwwwww! Yeah, I think Kennedy had potential, but they sorta dropped the ball on that one. At the beginning it looked like the girl after Tara, but I think towards the end of the series, Kennedy was turning into her own character. Or at least, she was moving that way. Now, it's like she's made of cardboard. Waaaaaaah!

You'd think! The writer who's picking up ATF is a woman, so maybe then, but unfortunately, Spike and Illyria aren't listed in that comic, supposedly. It makes me wonder if they're going to show up in s8 or get their own series. Because a Spike/Illyria series? OMG LOVE!! *ponders*
